Ind-Swift group celebrated 'Milan Divas' at its Mumbai office
Ind-Swift group has always believed in facilitating the family atmosphere to its employees as it believes that all its employees are member of Ind-Swift Family and following this tradition Ind-Swift celebrated 'Milan Diwas -- dedicated to its work force' at its Mumbai office. On the occasion of Milan Diwas a cake cutting ceremony was organized and all the team members who had celebrated their birthday from October 2012 to March 2013. The occasion was graced by the benign presence of the Dr. G. Munjal, MD & CEO Ind-Swift ltd. Birthdays of around 23 office staff colleagues was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm. On this occasion Dr. G Munjal reiterate the company’s commitment to achieve set targets and objectives It was a good break from work and a great bonding event for all swiftarians. All the team members relished the moment.
New Financial year celebration at Ind-Swift
With the start of new financial year, Ind-Swift group organized a Pooja ceremony at its Mumbai office. Mr. G. Munjal CEO & MD, Ind-Swift group started the Pooja ceremony with the worship of goddess Lakshmi. All the team members attended the Pooja ceremony. Speaking on the occasion Mr. G. Munjal hoped for the best upcoming financial year and encourages the entire team member to work hard to achieve the set targets for the financial year 2013-14.

The Pooja ceremony ended with the distribution of ‘Prashad’ to all the team members. Apart from Pooja this day offered a chance of get together of all the team members.
Ind-Swift Laboratories
Ind-Swift Laboratories celebrated National Safety Week
Ind-Swift Laboratories R & D centre Mohali organized a week long programme from March 4 to March 10 to commemorate the 42nd National Safety Week. On occasion various inter departmental and departmental activities were organized. To ensure the participation of every member, Ind-Swift Laboratories organized a poster making and quiz competition. The poster making competition was based on the various aspect of safety. Best three posters were awarded with special prices and consolation prizes were presented to other participants.

Quiz competition focusing on the Fire safety, Emergency Evacuation Plan & Laboratory Safety Manual was also organized. All the team members participated respectively.

SGOC team attends workshop on "Role of Emotional Intelligence at PHD Chambers".
Human being is always a learner throughout his life, the quest and hunger for information and knowledge should not stop, that’s how we progress and develop in our respective life. SGOC strongly believes in regular training and development of its team members, recently a group consisting of four team members attended a workshop on “ Role of Emotional Intelligence & Competency Mapping in Organizational Success” organised by PHD chambers. The topic was very interesting and important as well, as the future belongs to manager and leaders who understand emotional intelligence and competency mapping. Today managers face turbulence and uncertainty as organizations continue their quest for better result with limited resources, these important tools helps in managing human resource efficiently giving desired results.
SIMCS organized 'SANGRAM-2013'
Swift Institute of Management & Computer Science organized a two day long technical event named as “SANGRAM-Battle for ideas’ for BCA students. The two day event was graced by the remarkable participation of the students in various activities. Students enthusiastically took part in poster making, collage making completion and exhibition based on theme "Techno War" on Day one.

Second day was followed by the techno quiz and technical presentation. On this occasion the winner of the various competitions were also awarded with prize. Indeed it was a great experience for the students and inspired all the students for future participation. Convener of the event was Ms. Shivani Grover & Mr. Rohit Seth from Computer Science Department

SGOC salutes the women courage on International Women's day
"Woman is power in herself. She is mother, sister, daughter, wife and friend". And to celebrate this spirit of women-hood, Swift group of colleges organized a programme to commemorate the World International Women’s day on March 8, 2013.

Ms. Kalpana Gupta, Circle Head, Punjab National Bank Chandigarh who in herself is the epitome of the women empowerment, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion she said that "Women are the driving force of this society and sadly, the most neglected part of the society. In real term, if we want to empower our women we should stop differentiating between man and women, girl and boy".

A number of programmes were organized on this occasion. Programme started with the playing of the motivational videos highlighting the spirit of women which was followed by the cultural programme by the students. Students performed Giddha.

Apart from this, a Flower decoration and Salad decoration competition was also organized. The winners were selected on the basis of points delivered by the honorable guests. The whole programme concluded with high tea session of the honorable Chief Guests and Directors. On the behalf of Swift Group, Dr. Munjal, President, Swift Group of Colleges, Dr. V.R. Mehta, Joint Managing Director, Ind-Swift and Mr. Himanshu Jain, Director, Ind-Swift graced the Women’s day celebration.
Education trip to Bhani Sahib Ludhiana
Educational Trip of BA- 2nd Year students was organised to Bhani Sahib Ludhiana. The educational trip was success. The students had learned about Namdhari Laher which is the part of their curriculum. Various places visited during the trip include Satguru Ram Singh Miniature Park kuka Sangrand, Ram Sarovar, Hawan Kund, Partap Mandal, Harimandir, Gol Madir, Nishan Sahib, Ram Mandir and 143 years old Gadda. Over all, it was a great experience for all the students.
Swift group of colleges organized Annual Sports meet
Swift group of colleges organized a two day Annual Sports meet. Brig. Labh Singh, a former Olympian was the chief guest for the inaugural day. Dr S.R. Mehta (Chairman Ind Swift Ltd), Dr. G. Munjal (President SGOC), Mr. N.R. Munjal (Vice Chairman Ind-Swift Ltd), Dr. V.R. Mehta (Joint Managing Director Ind-Swift Ltd) and Mr. Himanshu Jain (Promoter Director Ind Swift Ltd) graced the inaugural session with his presence.

All the colleges marked their presence in both outdoor and indoor games during the sport meet. Games performed during the sports meet includes Cricket , Basketball, Volleyball, Football, Table Tennis , Carom , Chess, Long Jump , Discuss throw and Races .

The overall trophy was bagged by Swift institute of nursing by securing highest score in the organized events. The annual sports meet ends with encouraging words of Dr. G. Munjal (President SGOC) who emphasized on the need of sports activities along with the regular study. The sports meet ended with fond memories with hope for new experiences in the coming years.
